Questions, answered
How long does it take?
About 90 minutes from start to finish. Drying and wrapping are included, so you leave with your daruma in hand.
How much is it?
8,000 yen per person, tax included, including one Daruma and all materials. A gold or silver Daruma is 1,000 yen extra, and those two are decorated with markers rather than a brush. Children's pricing is being considered.
Do I need a reservation?
Bookings are open now. The first available date is 26 September 2026, our opening day.
Can children join?
Yes, all ages are welcome. Younger children are asked to join with an adult.
Can I take my Daruma home the same day?
Yes. We dry and wrap it so it travels safely in your luggage.
I don't speak Japanese. Is that OK?
Absolutely. Staff guide you in Japanese and English, and we use a translation app for other languages.
Will my clothes get dirty?
Aprons are provided, and the paint washes off hands with water.
Is it easy to find?
We are on the 2nd floor of the Popolo Building, 1-10-17 Nishi-Shinsaibashi, a short walk from Shinsaibashi Station. See the map on this page.
What time is the last entry?
The last session starts at 20:00 and finishes at 21:30, when we close.
